 Meal Payment Procedure

Glenburn Public School is committed to providing quality meals to students, but we also feel strongly that there is an obligation to take care of debts in a timely manner. There is a responsibility on the part of the students and parents/guardians to satisfy all financial obligations to the lunch program.

To improve communications between home and school, we encourage you to provide the school with an e-mail address. This enables you to receive an automated low balance email notification ensuring that lunch accounts are always filled. Parents can apply any amount to the account but it is recommended to pay in advance the amount your student might spend in a month. Meal prices are as follows:

The goal is to assist students in being responsible for their accounts; therefore, when the student’s balance reaches positive $10 or less for a paid student and $5 or less for a reduced student, a statement is given to the student. Limited charging is permitted but must be repaid in a timely manner. Once a student has a $15 negative balance or ($8 for reduced lunches), he or she will receive a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, in place of a regular/hot lunch.  If you have any questions concerning your student’s balance or meal status, please contact the School at 701-362-7426.

Glenburn Public School understands that some families are facing financial difficulties.  Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to submit free/reduced lunch application forms annually as well as when their household information or income changes. Applications can be submitted at any time.

Be aware PowerSchool Parent is a tremendous tool for parents and provides an excellent way for you to keep track of your child's lunch balance. If you have not yet obtained a PowerSchool Parent account please contact the School today.
